10/20 shady home game, confuse me more pls

5-handed. Game is at VILLAIN's house. before last session he viewed me as a complete nit - (the one time i played with him before that i was high and played uber tight). Tonight we started playing 5/10 and he saw me call a big river bet in a 350 BB pot and board As-8s-8-J-2 and ship it w/KK. i view him as lagdonk who tries to play bad cards and win w/out proper aggression... he sometimes reels off super aggro bluffs and other times instamucks in weird places... but i dont know if he still views me as nitty or not

pop it up preflop unless you're likely to get multiple callers, in which case fold.

calling is the worst choice unless the game is very very passive and bad.

Stop trying to make hero calls and raise it up. I'd go to $250.

Raise/fold the flop.

Moral of the story: stop calling with marginal hands. Either raise with them or fold, otherwise you shouldn't criticize villain for doing the same thing. At least his hands are disguised when he crushes the flop.

blind u have to be way ahead of his range get the $ in the middle now and avoid lots of limpers...
