Default Pre-registration for WSOP

I'm going to play in a couple of the WSOP events and notice pre-registration is now open. Not planning on playing the ME (yet), just smaller buy-ins.

For anyone who has done this, does it give you a serious advantage to waiting in line the day of or does it just guarantee you a spot? Since you have to register anyway, is it a waste of time because you still have to wait in line? I'm nervous about the no refund if something comes up but am willing to take the gamble if there is a huge advantage.

If I can skip a long line of waiting, I'd probably do it. But otherwise should I just wait until the day of and show up very early? Do the smaller buy-ins fill up quickly? Thanks.

Default Re: Pre-registration for WSOP

last year you could basically skip the line because they had all the preregistrations in a separate area. so basically if you go at an off time you should have no wait at all.
pre- reg though is probably really only necessary for the first couple events and the lower NL Tv events. I think only the first sold out. I beleive you can register at the Rio anytime of day so basically the prereg. is probably only necessary for the first event you play.
I guess you can wait a couple months also if you are worried about cancelling.
