Re: QQ OOP on A high flop
C/R is not a bad option here assuming you fold to a rr-AI.
Betting out is another alternative: the board is so dry the only hands villian might call or raise with are an ace and maybe 88-JJ, so you can get a decent idea of what he has. I think against an aggro, c/r is the best play because it gives him a chance to bet (very weakly in this case) at a dry flop, so we can raise, which will fold all hands that we beat and he will 3-bet anything that beats us. Simply betting out only gets calls from hands in a range that has us beat very often, c/r allows weaker hands to put more chips in the pot. I think c/c builds a pot OOP without a good idea of where we are. |

Re: QQ OOP on A high flop
It would depend on some factors for me. Does villain like to float when you c-bet? How does villain react to two barrels? How does he react to checkraises? What have you done against him in the past?
As played, I think your checkraise will get rid of all hands but a set, two pair or AJ+. It is an expensive play but I think that you can safely say that if he doesn't fold then you are beat. If he only calls, I would only continue if a Q hit the turn. By c-betting, a call or raise are both bad signs. With the call, you don't know where you are. And with the raise, he may just be testing you and you could fold the best hand. As long as there are no weird answers to the questions in my first para, I think your play here is solid. |

Re: QQ OOP on A high flop
I think it looks fine. You could check/call. If you're ahead now there are only a few cards to come that can beat you. But that all depends on whether villain double barrels and what not. You could also bet out if villain floats. This is read dependent on how villain plays later streets.

Re: QQ OOP on A high flop
yeah, the more i think about it, the more i like your play.
it folds out all worse hands (at least, i assume it would), it gets a few more chips when he's pure bluffing and it gives you reliable information if he calls or moves in |

Re: QQ OOP on A high flop
i think we shouldt call there to evade difficuilt decision in the turn when he can bet to understand where is he (because our check was kinda weak to preflop raise) and we dont know whether he is blffin or not
check raise very nice |

Yeah if he's agro then this is perfect.
