4bet w 66, read + restealing, 150bb deep, openpush flop? NL200
This was probably the most interesting spot Ive ever had, and its the only situation I would do something like this (crazy), but afterwards I was thinking alot about it:
Villain is chilliwilly on stars, good regular running 29/22/2: There was alot of stealing, restealing and in this situation he is probably aware that Im moving at the pot because of the overlay (co posted sb+bb), so he repops and I do a 4bet make it hard for him to continue without premium, he just smoothcalls (which I dont think he will do with AA 150bb deep, so I put him on KK typish hand): PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) by Hand Converter CG saw flop|saw showdown SB ($116.45) BB ($203.80) UTG ($233.50) Hero ($277.05) CO ($91.90) Button ($697.50) Preflop: Hero is MP with 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $3. UTG folds, Hero raises to $10, CO (poster) folds, Button raises to $30, SB folds, BB folds, Hero raises to $90, Button calls $60. Flop: ($186) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero openpushes/bets 150(looks even scarier?)?? because I suppose villain can not call profitably w KK because hes beating really nothing except AK non hh(and he doesnt suppose me to openpush with that when Im aware he smoothcalled a 4bet preflop)?! He maybe has QQ but its more unlikely both preflop and on the flop. Ducy or spew? |

Re: 4bet w 66, read + restealing, 150bb deep, openpush flop? NL200
ok so here's the thing guys... I play very very loose, like 35/30 to 30/25. So I know what its like to have people trying to play back at me all the time. Here's some things I generally do when someone starts getting a little crazy:
1.) Easiest thing to do is to just nit it up. When you go from 30/25 to 15/13 no one notices... first impressions last a long, long time. 2.) If you are going to play back at someone... DONT - Turn hands with reasonable implied odds into bluffs - Do something just because he has trying to steal a couple times, do it because of specific situations. For example... if you are raising UTG and the BB 3bets, don't do anything crazy. However, you can afford to make some weirder moves when you get 3bet when you raised your button. thats just off the top of my head... but go on with your genius play that surely worked once |

First it would help if we had your stats, because surely the villain does if he is "a good regular". But I just don't like the 4bet pf when you are OOP. He calls=you screwed. I think you might have gotten a little desperate on the flop. I would just try to avoid this situation in general by not 4betting pf.
You say that he can't call your push because you think he has KK, yet he would have to decide you have either AA or QQ too often to call. I don't think he will. I really think c/f is probably the best option. |

I hate playing A2o in fact I rarely ever do. You are almost always dominated if called.

capone are you replying to me specifically or is that a quick reply? just in case, i didn't mean that i'd want to 4bet A2 in this case, but if I do decide to resteal Ax is doing better against his 4bet calling range than 66 no?
