Converting Audio/Video file to mp3? Ipod

I downloaded an Audio/Video live show of artist that is unavailable for download as mp3 and I have only seen it as video format. How can I somehow get this on my IPOD? Guessing make it into an mp3 somehow? Any help appreciated Thanks. Currently It plays off of Windows Media Player.

do you want just the audio on the ipod or do you have a video ipod??

if you wanted to get just the audio off it you need to find a program that will convert the video to audio only,
