Default 99 In big blind

UTG who is very aggressive raises-38/30/4/35-everyone folds to me. I raise 99 in the big blind. Flop comes AK8 rainbow. I lead out.....

What do you think of this play? I am trying to represent a big Ace. This is at pokerstars 1-2 6handed.

This is a spot where I would struggle (defending an UTG raise), but against a very aggressive player it might be best to call and look down at a flop and then c/r a decent flop with a hand like this rather than play it like you did, but as I said I'm not sure. With a more passive player I might be more inclined to 3 bet pf but I'd like to hear what others think as well.

Given you 3 bet pf, You have to lead the flop, if called or raised I probably give up.

You 3-bet preflop. I don't see any other option than leading out. If he calls or raises I'm done with the hand.
