How else would you play the hand? So yeah, what they said.

PF raise is a little big, but this is totally standard. Sorry if you ran into 77/66 and didn't hit a spade.

You see this is what i dont get. We have close to 0 FE so how is shoving the optimal play here. Yes its +EV but its not optimal, right?

Do we really need FE here? I prefer the flop shove because a turn spade might scare him off a hand like AJ/AT that will call the flop shove.

I don't really see why this isn't optimal. This is pretty much the dream flop with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

LOL i didnt even think about AJ, AT in my previous post. This certainly makes shoving more attractive now.

It's 25NL, too...I think you could potentially see ANY ace at a showdown here.

PF raise is a little big

Not really. It's pot sized +$.10. OOP with this hand that's quite reasonable.

I think we may see calls from some flush draws drawing dead which may have folded to a turn bet with only one card to come. I don't think there's any way to play the hand that folds out anything that beats us, so FE isn't a big concern, is it? In fact, if someone's drawing dead, you want to minimize your FE. Shoving does that. If he has AK, 66, or 77, we're just going to have to get there, and I'd rather get my money in on the flop with better equity than on the turn when he might fold to a made flush, or when we're behind with only one to come.
