Default Trouble with Stars .02/.05

A little history first.

I've been playing live since the 1980's and have been playing limit for a living for about 3 years (4/8 to 15/30) depending on the game. Prior to last November, I 4 tabled 4/8 at Party and Stars. About a year ago I finally tried a live NL game and have been playing live NL for about 7 months and I've been making more, on average, than I ever was in the limit games.

Last November I closed my Party account and took all but $50 from Stars (goof off money) and swtiched to all live NL where I play 1/3, 2/2 and 2/5 and have been doing just fine. When I play live 5/10, I do OK, but clearly don't belong there yet.

About a month ago I noticed I had $3.62 left in Stars and decided to play some .01/.02 NL, where I ran it up to ~$20. So, I tried to move to .02/.05 where I lost most of it.

I've done this 4-5 times now. When I check PT I see a bit more agression and that I've run into a few more big hands, but not all that much.

I'm confused.

Post some hands of your .02/.05.
If you've been playing so high you might be playing too advanced for these levels.

Play ABC and profit huge from their mistakes.

If I'm playing "so high", then why am I consistently beating the .01/.02. Also, a 1/2 blind game may seem high when compared to penny poker, but in real life terms, its still fairly small.

Also, I don't think posting hands is the answer here. Which of the ~700 .02/.05 hands would I choose? Which of the ~3000 .01/.02 hands?

700 hands on .02/.05 isnt enough to tell yet, might just be a downswing.

I don't mean posting a hand you lost or whatever, just post hands in general, ask what others would do and why, try to find leaks in your game.

Well if you can't identify hands you've had trouble with, post hands where you lost the most - excluding obvious bad beats/variance. 5NL is easily crushable with ABC play.

OK, never mind. I've been going through everything and found a few things. What drew my attention was that I was making money from the button and 3 seats to the right, but losing everywhere else.

1) I've been playing hands like Axs from early position.
2) Calling raises from tight players with medium and small PP's
3) Just plain not getting a good run of cards.
4) Bluffing too much (which works in the .01/.02)
5) A slightly higher than normal rate of bad beats.

In short, variance and plays that I know better than to make.

The strange thing is that I don't remember making these bad plays and if not for PT, I would have denied doing it (except on a rare occasion).

you're probably just running into my freind who also plays those limits and is actually self proclaimed as one of the best NL players in the world. His name is Nick Nevlar.
