Standard hand against people w/o a brain?
Wild and aggressive 6 handed must move game
Crazy pregnant Korean (CPK) lady who seems as though she is about to bare a child with in the next couple minutes limps UTG. She has been raising almost every hand in an attempt to play with the guy on her right. Seemingly passive dude limps next. I limp K8s. Young kid who thinks he has brain raises on the button. SB folds and BB with is a total nut case fish calls. J85dd BB checks, CPK checks, SPA checks, I check, and for whatever reason the button checks. J85 5 ddhh (two flush draws now) BB checks, CPK now bets, SPA calls, I raise, button hems and haws and folds and they both call. River is some blank Check, check, and I bet for value? |

Re: Standard hand against people w/o a brain?
Meh. If they'd both check a J on the flop 'to the raiser' I'd just check behind. I mean, there are two flushdraws out, and neither of them are paying you off unless they happen to have an eight to go with it.

you bet and you'll get snapcalled by a J or everyone will fold. betting the river is -EV.

While there a a few worse hands that will pay you off here, I think you are a dog when called. Just check and see who wins. I think you should bet the flop. |

Re: Standard hand against people w/o a brain?
Was this last night Ocean's 20 on table 1? I thought young kid who thinks he has a brain was going to be me but he checked the flop and I don't check.
This turn raise is fine but I could also just call the turn and then decide to do something else on the river, possibly fold or call or bet if checked to. Once you raise the turn I think you should definitely not bet the river. |

Re: Standard hand against people w/o a brain?
Your raise on the turn is fine, getting the button to fold a hand like AQ is great. Too often it's some lower card/picked up draw betting this turn and you have the best hand. I may consider donking out on the flop if the button is capable of checking through or raising just over cards to clean out the field.
