Can anyone give me the lowdown on cheap *populated* Vegas tournaments?
I am sorry to ask such a noob question but my friend from home is in town with his wife and keeps harassing me to find out about good tournaments for him to play in tonight and tomorrow.
I know about AVP and am very thankful for it but there's no way of knowing which tournaments on that list typically get 1 table and which get 5. The only time I've ever played a tournament here myself was at treasure island one evening and I have to say the turnout was quite disappointing. Are there any in his price range ($0 - $200) that usually get a fair amount of entries on Fridays and Saturdays? Thanks a bunch! |

$200 dailies at noon at Caesar's are good.
4500 starting stacks, 45 minute levels. large, fishy fields too. blinds escalate rather quickly after the third level, however. |

I liked the Sahara $62 freezeout ($42 + $20 addon) at 7 each night when I was down there.

how many ppl does he want in the tourney? Orleans runs some decent structure cheap tourneys but they might have 150 people at the tourney. Caesar's has just changed there tourneys to include some cheaper buyins. I am sure caesars will get 70 people plus for its tourneys.

Click the details link on the tournament page and you'll see an approximate average. Again, it's an approximate average player count. It could say 50 and you might go in and find 2 tables, you might find 12 tables. There is no way to know what tourney will have how many players until it starts. |
