Default NL 5 - Attacking the river

Any thoughts ont his hand please - especially the river play.
Opponent is 82/25/2 over about 50 hands. His play has alternated between calling down and making big bluffs.

I dont make it a point to CB into 4 players when I miss a flop without any real re-draw.

As far as the river bet goes, I dont like it against the short stack. I dont really think he is folding enough times for this to be good. What hand does he call the flop with leaving him self a small pot sized bet left that can fold on the end? If he was drawing, he got there. If he has any pair, he is calling since you checked the turn. If shorty comes over the top of your river bet the pot now is giving you 3-1 and you would fold?

If the player was deepstacked, I like the river bet a lot more if you make it 3/4 pot or just under.

The only street I'm putting money into the pot here on is preflop.
