Under what circumstances is it more profitable to 3-bet someone as opposed to flat-calling their bet??? The question includes both in position and out of position....
Possible scenarios.... 1. KQs in BB, 32/24 raises from button, what's our move... 2. JTs in SB, 18/12 raises from CO..... 3. 78s in BB, 24/17 raises from button..... 4. KJos on button, 32/24 raises from CO..... 5. 88 on button, 32/24 raises from CO..... 6. AQs on CO, 18/12 raises from UTG..... 7. 99 on BB, 24/17 raises from button.... 8. 45s on button, 24/17 raises from the CO.... FYI, it is 6-max, and you range from 18/14 to 21/17 |

I assume 100bb stacks.
1. Raise. 2. Fold, sometimes raise. 3. Raise. 4. Raise. 5. Raise. 6. Tough one, call or fold I think. 7. Raise. 8. Sometimes call, sometimes raise, sometimes fold. |

Wow, I really suck, I would call most of these if not all at a full table. 6 handed? I would probably...
1. Raise 2. Call 3. Call (Play aggro post flop though) 4. Call 5. Call (Great position post flop) 6. Raise (I like to figure I'm beat early when the pot is small and 6handed the UTG doesn't mean what it means at a full table) 7. Raise (terrible position post flop, end it now) 8. Call depending on PF aggro factor (high I call, low I raise or fold) |

1. Raise
2. Fold (Raise 25% when I think he getting out of line) 3. Fold (if SB calls, I will 75% call, 25% 3bet depending on my image at the time) 4. Fold 5. Raise 6. Raise 7. Raise (75% of time, 25% of call) 8. Call/Raise/Fold-Very dependent on my image at the time, who is in blinds, etc. |

Ok let's see. I'm gonna try to make this what I usually do:
1.) Sometimes 3bet, sometimes fold. 2.) I've done them all here...usually not call though. Mostly fold but sometimes raise depending on steal frequency. 3.) Raise usually. 4.) Fold...sometimes raise especially if I know the guy can fold. 5.) Raise or call - kinda depends how loose he is postflop. 6.) Sometimes fold....usually Call especially if he has a low c-bet # or a high c-bet # but low turn AF. 7.) Raise 8.) Raise unless maybe I've been going at this guy too much then call or fold. |

any actual thought process behind any decisions would by appreciated by we noooooooobs.
if you would do one thing sometimes and another the other times, what specific considerations push you one way or the other? do you even know? |

1. Easy three
2. Calling is probably better since you have an implied odds hand. You want that flop as cheap as possible in this case, although OOP it's much harder to get paid off. 3. Meh, I fold this a lot. 4. Three a much wider range than this TBH. Definitely three bet. 5. Call, and float a lot of flops if you don't hit a set. 6. I like to three-bet this hand because position makes it easier to play post flop and you will take this down PF or with a c-bet a lot of the time. 7. Three 8. Meh, I fold this a lot, too. You can call sometimes tho. I rarely three-bet this at NL50 or NL100. I am pretty aggro and like to 3-bet light a lot at 6-max, so others will probably differ on some of these. Edit: Didn't notice #7 was in BB. Changed from call and float to "raise it up" |
