Default 100nl: top pair ok kicker on turn

First post in the ssnl forum. I'm an SNG pro who's just playing around a bit and trying to get better in ssnl so I'm pretty clueless about postflop play. I'll probably ask alot of unbelievably standard questions so bare with me.

hast07 is something like 14/12/3 over about 100 hands. buluvic is 38/2/1 over about 300 hands. I squeeze buluvic constantly, so he probably thinks I'm fairly loose. No reads on hast other than stats.

SB: $112.65
BB: $42.30
UTG: $148.50
Hero (MP): $125.45
CO: $106.55
BTN: $125.60

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $4.00, CO calls $4.00, BTN folds, SB calls $3.50, BB folds

Flop: ($13) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $6.00, CO calls $6.00, SB calls $6.00

Turn: ($31) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB checks, hero???

Gross, got called in two spots and one spot by a nit. I'm sure on average ck/fold isn't a bad line. If you bet you're playing a big pot and you don't know what position. Pick a better spot.

Preflop is fine, on the flop i would probably check behind with the nit in the pot and all. Would never bet 6 though, 10 or check.

The turn is a supereasy check. Worse aces fold alot preflop and wont give you 3 streets of value.

Your flop bet sizing was really bad. Betting under half the pot really isn't accomplishing anything here.your giving flush draws great odds and not defining your opponents' hand for you at all...you generally want to bet 1/2-full pot in cash games, with the majority of your bets around 2/3 of the pot
