imo his songs would be good with a regular voice too, altho i do dig the raspy voice, but i don't think that's the major upside of tom waits.

Tom Waits does rule. However, as you age you will take for granted that life is a big nothing, rendering what were (at one time) seemingly deep thoughts as merely pedestrian knowledge.

This is nothing more that a frilly version of a comedian ragging on football players doing the prayer circle thing after a game.
