NEWS ALERT
from The Wall Street Journal

July 11, 2007

Whole Foods' founder and CEO John Mackey posted many messages on Yahoo's stock forums for about eight years, ending around August 2006, the company confirmed Wednesday. Mr. Mackey used the pseudonym "Rahodeb," an anagram for Deborah, the name of Mr. Mackey's wife. On the boards, Rahodeb routinely cheered Whole Foods' financial results, trumpeted personal gains on the stock, and bashed rival Wild Oats.

There's a ton of illegal stuff going on in the Yahoo message boards, but they will never be prosecuted.

He runs against a slew of SEC regulations. Very illegal.

(At least the Chinaman died w/o a long wait on death row.)

WSJ journal article specically said not illegal. He did not use inside information is why I would assume it was not illegal.

It was, however, wildly stupid.

I think is actually really funny, although somewhat disturbing.

"I like Mackey's haircut," Rahodeb said. "I think he looks cute!"
