Default 5/10 river against TAG

My opponent seems to be a reasonable tag, but I haven't really played with him very much.

Folded to villain, who raises on the button. SB folds, mjkidd 3bets 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img],5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], villain caps.

(8sb) Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img],T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img],7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
mjkidd checks, villain bets, mjkidd calls.

(5 bb) Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
mjkidd checks, villain bets, mjkidd calls

(7 bb) River: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
what's my plan here?

You never 3bet 55 out of the BB? I call alot, but I also raise a fair bit as well. I assume if you're calling preflop, you're going to checkraise the flop and play from there?

By mixing in raises with calls preflop, am I making a mistake, or can this strategy by sound if properly played postflop?

I c/c one time, then i figure out how good he is at value betting and adjust accordingly. You shoul be noting his play in other spots like this because people will pretty much always fire the flop/turn but the river is where you need to know baby i need to know. tell me baby girl cuz i need to know.

pf is standard for me.

I want more reads before I start c/f'ing the river.

I dont mind preflop but I would only do it against players that can fold postflop.

I save my 3-bets with small pairs for weak-tight opponents or lags whose range is so broad that I'm going to be showing down almost always. Given our positional disadvantage we should expect to get outplayed more often than not. Our bad folds are less bad in small pots, and we don't have to worry as much about giving a free card to overs.
