I think you've correctly put your finger on the problem which is the size of your turn bet.

Villain may have a set here but he also has an overpair to the board a good amount of the time and may see your turn bet as AK firing a weak 2nd barrel.

I bet about 12 on the turn, that way other overpairs either go away or call. Any raise is then much more likely to be a set and maybe I could fold then.

As played, you're left with a really tough choice as to whether or not to continue. I think I'd end up calling his raise and then checking the river, knowing that a big river bet would probably blow me out of the hand AND knowing that villain probably knows that too.

No, pot the turn or very close to it. Pot was 12.85 after the flop, so I say 12 or thereabouts.

If you bet 12 bucks, min raise = 24 bucks = all in. I would probably fold to that.

You could check the turn of course, but you'd still have this problem on the river.

You don't need to bet the pot on the turn IMO. What hands do you get value out of if you bet the pot? this is a dry board.

I would bet to 9-10, not sure what i would do when he minraises, but he has limped in and called a raise. I would find it hard to find a hand we beat to this action. Though he does appear to be loose and aggro (small sample)

he doesnt seem scared of the overcard to the flop so i think this narrowed his range and made me think i was behind
