This hand happened a week ago so details are a little fuzzy but the important aspects are here.
Live 2/3 100 buy-in cash game. I've been running well and I'm currently chip leader with about $600. I'm in MP. Villain is loose and tends to be aggressive on the river. I've seen him make big river bets with both strong hands and bluffs. He is BB and has about $200. Preflop: 2 folds to me I limp with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 callers behind. SB completes. BB (villain) checks option Flop: ($13) J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB checks, BB opens for $6, I call, 2 more callers I call behind hoping to get more callers in case I hit my flush. Turn: ($37) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] BB bets $20, I call, 1 caller Again, I call behind because I wanted more callers in case they are drawing to lower flush or straight. In HU situations, I would usually raise to build the pot so I could stack my opponent. River: ($97) 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB bets $75 I'd like to know whether a river push is standard against this villain with this kind of read. I could call, but I didn't think I would get a 2nd call from remaining player since the person behind either missed completely or has a weak hand that probably wouldn't call after 1 call already. I also think villain would call an all-in with trips or top two pairs as well as lower flush (probably as low as T high) Critique on other streets welcomed also. |
