Default Very Interesting Dilemma with prize from SportsBook

I win a tourney ~12:30am EST on Monday morning. Didn't realize until the final table that in addition to the cash, there was a prize. Trip for 2 to the Playboy Mansion Celebrity Tourney, including Airfare and accomodations for two nights. I win the tourney (Sweet!) and try and find info on the site. Nothing. It is pretty late for me so I go to bed, and try contact SB at ~8:30am Monday from work. I get the run-around from the support folks, they will send an email within the hour. Nothing by 12, so i call back, same story. at 2:40PM Monday I get an email with info on who to contact for arrangements, etc. I call the number listed for the travel agent, but she doesn't know when the event is, so she sends an email, and calls me back in a little while, and the event is Tuesday! TOMORROW! I live in Tampa, with a job, wife, kids, so this is impossible, I would have to leave within the next few hours and miss most of the week of work.

I emailed and called, trying to find out what time the event was, if i could sell/transfer the package, or maybe trade it for a future event. As of now (Tuesday at 2PM) I am still not aware of the actual time of the event! No one from SB has returned my emails/phone calls. The lackeys that I was able to get on the phone told me that everyone was at an event, or on vacation etc. The travel agency lady has been very helpful, but all she wants to do is book the flight/hotel. She was not able to get an answer as to if I had to make my own arrangements for ground transportation.

I hope SB will step up and do the right thing, but I am not very hopeful. Anyone had any experiences anywhere along the lines of this? Any advice? We thought about getting the plane tickets (they are ~$1400 each), going to the airport, and trying to get a credit, but not sure if that would work.

Regards,

Update....if anyone is interested...

Got an email from SB support that the account was credited the amount owed (true, the cash funds were immediately added to the account). Essentially they are saying they gave everything that was due, which i guess is technically correct. Should I try and make a stink of this and try to get them to offer a prize I could actually collect? If I were homeless, without family, and unemployed I could have gotten on a plane with 2 hours notice, but that is not really feasible.....anyone have any advice here?

thanks in advance!

1) Was it published beforehand that these prizes would be added?
2) Did the casino add these prizes as an extra, rather than taking money from the prize pool?

If either of these is a 'yes', then you don't really have a beef here.

Either the casino gave away something for free that you (and probably others) weren't able to take advantage of, or you paid for the chance to win a prize that you couldn't use because you neglected to read the terms/prizes/etc of a tournament that you joined.

It sucks, but I would have personally found a way to blow off work to go play poker at the Playboy Mansion, wtf!

This is unclear. Does this include the cash value of the trip?

Good luck getting paid out from Sportsbook. Your money in your account is worth about as much as that trip you won.

It paid x amount of places, with the 1st paying $369.20. The tournament was labeled "Playboy Sports Celebrity Poker Event", and the description was "Winner receives 2 seats into this Playboy Celebrity tourney at the Mansion along with flights and accommodation for two nights"

I looked all through the site after winning and there was no further description anywhere, and no dates or times listed. When I called into support the next day, no one could find any information either.

Regards,

(Has anyone had ANY good experience cashing from SB?)

Yanun,

The facts of the situation remains unclear.

Did you receive cash and/or compensation for being unable to attend the special event?

I have received nothing in place of the prize that I was unable to collect. I did collect the first place cash ($369.20), but 1st was supposed to pay cash, and the prize.
