Default Derivative Exchanges

Now that the Cbot/CME deal is complete who will be the next exchange to get picked up? I think ICE and others like Deutsch Borse will be looking to keep up and might go for the Nymex or a few international exchanges.

Aside from acquisition I like all the derivative exchanges because of secular growth trends. In the future I see only a handful of international exchanges being around. As more mutual funds begin to use short selling the volume of futures will go through the roof as they hedge their bets. The derivative exchanges also have pricing power compared to the equity exchanges and they are all going to try and consolidate to try and increase volume and liquidity. The only major bear argument would be the potential regulation of the exchanges (Amaranth recently putting blame on ICE) for unregulated OTC contracts.

I like ICE, CME, NYX and am looking for who they might go after next internationally maybe Bourse de Montreal?
