I would have raised more preflop and not bet as much on the flop. Yes, it is an easy fold for me as played.

around 2/3 pf the pot is my standard c-bet, sometimes a little less. but whatever you do make it the same when you have and haven't got a hand.

as played yeah i think you let this go

raise more preflop ... this is a 2 dollartr touney so maybe i even go all in preflop and see some one call with 10j or so. defenitely bet half pot only or max 2/3 pot on flop. fold to his raise

Preflop is OK, you can raise more but thats not a huge issue here.

You are either way ahead or way behind on this flop. Betting close to pot is never going to make a hand that beats you (an ace) fold. Betting anything will probably get a hand worse than yours to fold. In this situation, I would bet about half the pot. An opponent's raising range is probably pretty narrow if he hit this flop (a pair of aces is the most likely), so when faced with resistence, you have to let this hand go.

Bet only as much as you need to make a worse hand fold without arousing suspicion (don't min-bet for example). If you bet about half the pot (say 180-200) you invest less chips and get the same result (he folds if he didn't hit the flop and he usually raises with an ace).

does anyone else think that betting 250 on flop will accomplish same goal? Thats only thing i see wrong here. As played, fold in a heartbeat

edit: by time i posted i read the one above me and he seems to think 250 is reasonable.

Bet t200 on the flop.

Don't make the mistake of not betting this flop though. If it were HU, I would say don't bet it, but in multiway action, I think you have too. If you had the Ks you might be able to check this flop 3-handed, but w/out it, you definitally have to bet it.

Fold to the raise.

A couple of questions here:

1st- To all of you who think raising more PF is better do you think you are giving up value on hands that would call you with a normal sized raise but lay down to a 5x-6x? I know it's a $2 but aren't we letting villians play better?

2nd- Is checking the flop a crime? I would think that with 2 callers one is going to have an A most of the time. So by check/calling we are getting worse hands than ours to bet. I'm not oppose to illini's line of betting half the pot and knowing me I would probably do this, but i'm just curious if the check/call line is viable here.

As played easy fold.
