Everytime I see a movie with some real smart gangsters like pacino in scarface or Carlito's Way and others they do this:

they drop the guns off like within 100 feet of the crime scene.

WTF??

wouldn't make alot more sense to hold on to them and dump them in a lake or something???

so these guys know how to wipe for prints and there is no possibility whatsoever of tracing the retail/blackmarket supplier your saying?

if you get caught with the weapon they can put you at the scene. if you don't get caught with the weapon they can't put you at the scene unless something on the weapon points them to you. did you drop out of high school?

no i didn't drop out of high school. but why would u get caught if u have already securely fled the scene just go acouple miles away dig hole in ground, or throw in lake. problem solved, without any extra risk.

correct me if im wrong but forensics werent that great before the mid 90s and most people that did hits did so wearing gloves and using clean guns.
