Default Flopped bottom set

I'm new to the Omaha 8 game and this is my first post. I flop bottom set, should I be getting away from this one on the flop? I called, but I could see an argument for folding or raising as well.

Raise on the flop. 89xx is not a very likely holding (neither are higher sets); SB will have a flush draw or something weaker than your set here a lot of the time. If you get 3-bet, then it's time to switch to check/call.

I agree. You have to raise the flop w two people to act behind you. Even if they won't fold the nfd they may fold smaller flush draws.

I think you played this hand perfectly. O8 is a game of straights and flushes. Your bottom set is nothing but a drawing hand to a full house or quads. Raising accomplsihes nothing I wait for safe card on turn. For instance if the 4hearts roles off on the turn instead then you are in a good spot to bet when it is checked to you. River fold is standard as you can officialy beat no draws.

I fold this pre-flop, even in a loose game. 7s are useless, so basically you're playing A3s, which would be ok if it had something to go with it.

Really? I suppose I should've prefaced this with the fact that I've only been playing for about a week and don't know wtf I'm talking about, though I do state that in other posts floating around. I just didn't think A3s was good enough to go with from early position.
