Preflop raise to 4xBB or in this case $1.

Flop, that was a horribly weak bet. Is your normal CB that small? I bet AT LEAST $1.30 here, if not $1.50. As you bet, you gave villain better than 3:1 to draw. Not good.

On the turn, again, your bet was too small and that's a huge reraise now when the 4 straight comes. I much prefer a bet/call or a c/c on the turn hoping to fill up. I think your 3bet on the turn is spew as I don't see anything but a 4 calling here.

pf: i like making it 1dollar better
flop: make a bigger cbet. 1.3-1.4 seems just about right.
turn: that is one ugly card. just call his rr and hope for the boat on the river. other than that i guess u can just c/f the river

Edit: SirFelixthecat <--- agreed =)

I am in no way an expert but this seems odd. What are your reasons for raising here? Without a sick read I would take the good price im getting on the turn and try to hit my boat. A huge part of villains range here is x4/44.

no need to re-raise that turn. I would call his re-raise and also call a reasonable river bet.

Preflop.. u are right. I've been experimenting with betting less from EP but I think I'm going to go back to the standard 4bb.

Hmm.. that is odd. My usual CB is 2/3 or about 1.25 here.

On the turn, doesn't a 2/3 pot bet deny them odds for any draw? I can see 65s, 76s, pocket 3's or 5's calling here.

Me thinks a random 4 is calling the flop too, no?

And yes, betting 2/3 the pot is technically enough, why not bet more for value if you can get it?

I see A4s, 54s, Pocket 4's & 7's as matching the betting.

I think I should just start betting more in general. Seems to be a constant critism in my posts. Poker books seem to be at odds with the internet advice on this topic.

Keep in mind that most poker books are relating to full ring, not 6max as well
