Is this hand pot committed?

Hero gets a late-position caller he didn't want--now the pot is so large that it's hard to bet without committing everything. At the time, I calculated my options in terms of bet or don't bet--afterward, I was thinking I should have tried a more creative option.

$10-200 Spread limit with $5-$5-$10 blinds ($20 total)

SB: $200.00
BB: $750.00
Hero (4 off button): $230.00
Villain (1 off button): $400.00

Reads: The table is fairly tight with very little preflop raising and only one bad player. SB is a fish who's lost a good deal of money by overplaying his hands. BB is tight; has only played strong hands and not done anything tricky. Villain just sat down a few minutes ago. I don't know him well but think he's a strong player.

On the last hand, hero made a move preflop with pocket 4's and doubled up against fish (who was BB).

Villain calls, SB calls, BB calls.

Pot is $120, hero has exactly $200 left.

SB checks, BB checks, hero thinks and goes all-in.

Hero's kicker beats 7 other kickers and doesn't beat 4 (disregarding AA and AJ), which isn't that great; plus, the late position call from a strong player seems especially threatening. But we hate to get a pair of aces and not bet...

Two questions: Does any bet here pot commit hero? And, should hero have thought about a more creative line than just betting out?

I dont mind your push against a bad player, hes probably not folding top pair here no matter what. And He might have pushed preflop with AK. So BB is really your biggest concern.

Also, buy in bigger if you think you can outplay people post flop
