Default A Way we can help each other without helping lurkers. 1/2 regs

Ok so here is my Idea. I have noticed that many of the 1/2 (non 2p2)regs have changed their game up. Not to mention that if you played at 1/2 for a long time you have old data in your sample that could give you bad reads.

So my idea is to get together every couple months and trade hands for the last 60 days with each other so we have a decent sample size put together of recent stats. We could get atleast 5 or 6 guys who play lots of hands a month and get really accurate reads on the non contributors. This could yeild us well over 200k hands of fresh data to guide us. That obviously accounts for overlap(hand histories where we were both at the table)

The downside to this is that i think we'll be able to see how other members of the group play some hands. But I think that besides seeing a "hey he bluffed he there that bastard" hand every once in a while the risk outweighs the reward. And that we dont really play all to differently from each other. and most of us mix it up anyways so it doesnt matter.

Thoughts on this idea?

Also we create a private chat/IM channel for the known posters; I'd prefer Skype as that's what I use.

PM me your Skype usernames and I will get it going if you are interested.

If analyzing and exploiting the high-volume regular players is a requirement to make money at 200NL, I think I'll just stay where I'm at.

Aren't there fish at 200NL as well?

I like being part of the "cool" crowd, I should just move up, so I can participate.

at 200nl there you are lucky if you can get a fish with a full stack at everyone of your tables. its ussually 5-7 regs and 1-2 shortstacks (regs or fish) and one unknown with a 60-100bb stack. Its a much different game than 100nl for some reason. Im doin well there and im only using my recent database from the last two months I saw major differences from players when i played 1/2 a few months ago.

Juu,

Educate me please. Does Skype act like AIM as well as serving as an online phone?

You already know I'm not playing at this level, but I'm curious nonetheless.

ty,
LC

a few of us already do this at NL100, but again, to reiterate what pokerboy said and answer in the affirmative: there are plenty of fish at NL100, so trying to beat eachother is probably not the battle we need to fight when the war is so overwhelmingly in our favor.

Why dont we set up a FR AIM thread were we can exchange our screen names? I know other forums like SSNL have done this.
