Default Bottom end of the straight---Raise or Call?

Relatively new to the table. Loose and passive so far, no individual reads yet though.

Hero calls.

Hero probably should also have bet the turn.

Isn't flop raise a mistake?
If you have position then it would be raising for free card but when you are OOP i dont understand this move.

Equity. He's trapping the field for two with a monster draw.

Hero should probably fold Axs UTG.
Raising the flush draw is fine on the flop.
Call river.

Excellent flop check/raise.
I am fine with turn check. Although a semi-bluff bet isn't far behind ...

Calling the river is the better line, IMHO. Hero got the idiot's end of the straight, I am not comfortable popping it here.

JJack, review pot equity raises theory. In short, if you pot equity is higher than the percentage of $$ you are contributing to the pot, then you should choose the strategy to get as much money in the pot as you can.

Preflop is good.

Flop is great. Getting all the value you need.

Bet the turn. Face card comes up, perfect semi-bluffing situation with high success rate. Might buy you the button, too.

Call the river. Actually, if I think about it... I tend to fold. if CO has the top end of a straight, he is not gonna fold it, even if you raise. With the overcaller, I suppose this situation is gonna be slightly -EV here; the bad thing is that your turn check might have induced a bluff, therefore you are pretty much forced to call here. Betting the turn to stop bluffs makes your decision on the river a lot easier.

No, easy call on the river. Raising the river has no value, and folding a straight for one more after a checked through turn is retarded.

I think everything is fine apart from preflop.

Why do people become so tight these days? I limp this all day from UTG.
