Re: 25NL: Bet this turn for value?
I think heads up it would be a bet for value and one that has to be made as so many villains call ip with pockets on an ace high flop and fire at a checked turn to rep the ace. But multiway is this guy really gonna try to play poker here with a pair of sevens. And if he has an ace its most likely AT, AJ or AQ or a mid suited ace of which you beat a couple and a couple turned two pair. Thats just my take though, its a tough spot and Im a nit.

We're heads up on the turn FWIW.

I would check / call the turn and if he fires another bullet on the river with a blank card would seriously consider laying it down.

Re: 25NL: Bet this turn for value?
Yeah but he made the call before utg made a decision and suited aces are in a lot utg players limping ranges. If I were on the button here I would lay down my medium or small pocket pair since its so much more likely that one of the other two has an ace.

Re: 25NL: Bet this turn for value?
I think you should definitely bet. No reason to think you are behind and it makes the hand easier to play. If you check and villain makes a big bet it's tough to know what to do.
Sometimes on a really dry board I will bet smallish on the turn and river. Maybe $5 on each street. This allows worse hands to call down by giving them good odds and also controls the pot size. |
