I'm not sure about the turn bet also. I really didn't wanna play anything but a medium pot but with the two spades I didn't wanna make it too cheap. I dunno.

Flop bet needs to be bigger.
Absent reads, I call this only because UTG didn't raise preflop and your hand looks all the world like a flush draw.

Sorry I have reads - (49/5.3/1.53) over about 230 hands. So he's pretty passive. Yeah my flop bet was terrible in retrospect. I actually called but think I should of folded here against this player. I don't think my thinking was very good at the time.

Def bet more on the flop.

Tricky spot, too read dependent IMO, and I'm not familiar enough with a typical Party unknown. You look like you could be on a flushdraw or villain might perceive your hand as a scurred KK/QQ. Blah

Although I don't quite grok it, I believe someone who is 49/5.3/1.53 is actually ~2.5 times as aggressive postflop (his raising/betting range post flop is ~2.5x as large) as someone who is 20/5.3/1.53.

My concern is that someone who only raises 5% of their hands could very well limp UTG with a hand like AQo or even AKo, raising only in better positions. Obviously AT is a concern as well and is probably his most likely holding.
However, given your small bets, his bluffing range is quite a bit wider. He may even believe his A6 is ahead atm.

I still call this, but not as happy about it.

Is everyone OK with raising pre-flop from SB with AJ?

What's the problem with that? Hopefully I get a fold all the way round or get 1 or maybe 2 callers and take it down with a cbet. In this instance I agree with the other guys that my flop bet was pretty bad.

I'm not just calling when it's multiway like this and folding would be okay I guess but I'm not folding it.

Raising PF is okay here, but you want to go a bit higher with so many limpers. I'd think he has an Ace here, if he's pretty loose I think this is a call. AK/AQ/AT/A5 definitely plausible... but so is any other Ace. I'd need a read that tells me UTG is a decent player to lay this down.

Vixticator. Yeah I should of raised a little higher pf, esp as I was out of position also. I guess my thinking was just a little murky at the time.

What do ya think is the right ammount? Around 2$? Slightly higher?
