Default 4/180, TPTK in the BB, multiway flop

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com

MP1 (t4625)
MP2 (t5080)
MP3 (t6301)
CO (t1165)
Button (t8845)
SB (t6890)
Hero (t4115)
UTG (t5520)
UTG+1 (t9375)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls t200, 2 folds, MP2 calls t200, MP3 calls t200, 2 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (t1000) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, Hero ?

No impressive reads. Assume everyone is standard level of bad for this level in a 4/180. None of them are super crazy. Lead the flop here? What's the plan if we bet and get raised? Check the flop with the intention to c/r?

I definitely raise pf to 1000-1200.

As played, lead out for 800. If anyone comes over the top Im probably just sticking it in, because your gonna see much worse in a 4/180.

Either shove or raise to 900 pf. I think a shove is better since any decent raise that gets called will leave you pot committed plus you're oop. If you have 300 less its an autoshove about 300 more and you make a raise to 900.

Lead out for 700, if you're called or raised shut it down. It's a tough decision if you lead out and get action but that's a just punishment for not raising pf.

There's 1000 (+antes) in the pot when the action gets around to you and you have 4.1K...I like a preflop shove

whats the motivation behind checking your option preflop flip? Without reads I wouldnt be worried about UTG, but just incase I think we can just pot it, 1k, and if he shoves we get away with it and still have an m of 10. Playing AQo oop in a multiway pot just never leads to a nice situation post flop unless you luckbox a massive flop.

In fact this is a very similar situation to the one we were discussing last night, where hero found himself in a tough spot with TPTK for the same reason, AQo is a premium hand, but one that doesnt play well in a multiway pot, so raise with it and punish those limpers. Nothing wrong with just shoving either due to stack sizes, but a 1k raise should do the job and lets us get away from limped AA/KK/AK (assuming the scandalous bastard doesnt flat call)

I checked because I'd have to make it 1200 and then I was pot committed and I didn't think I'd get it HU. I probably shouldn't have worried about that and just raised anyways.

On the flop I lead for 750, got a raise and a jam behind me. They had J9dd and Q8.

checking is ok as you only have a draw. its a passive play but it disguises your hand well. you led out got raised and jammed its time to fold and get away from the hand. i think you played it fine just a little differntly than most on this site. shoving wins 600 most of the time and runs you into ak kk aa once in awhile and you bust. raising 6bb is going to get you the pot too or get you heads up and now you have to c-bet into someone who prob called w a pp and can tell when board missed you. but when the board comes high its a good flop and you have a draw/made hand.

Its 1000 (3 limps + sb and bb) which is like 25% of heros stack. Checking is pretty bad IMO.
If stacks were deeper I could see checking/keeping pot small etc.
