would like to hear your comments on this i guess button normally has a pretty wide range here but then again i think he would just shove and not raise...! but i guess theres too much dead money and my hand is strong enough

Bastard stole your push!
You obviously have little to no FE so it depends a lot on your read of button. He's raising a decent amount over a limper when he only has 12BB - it would be more usual to see a push here. If I know that he understands push/fold shortstack strategy I'd probably fold, expecting him to be a lot stronger than he actually was. If he's raised a lot of buttons, I'm more inclined to push - but the fact that he's raising over a big stack limper and not trying to maximise his FE should still make you more cautious - unless big stack has been limp-folding a lot and you think button is capable of stealing with a weakish hand. Meh. There's a fair bit of overlay with the limper and the blinds. With the right reads (ie we don't suspect button is very strong and we don't think big stack will call loose/has set a trap) a push is OK, but we can afford to wait for a better spot. |
