Default $60: AKs early

Villain is unknown. I didn't want to get check raised on the flop so I just checked. I still have the nut flush draw on the turn and a gut shot so I called. Good?

I would raise only 70-80 pf
As played just fold the turn, any card that makes your hand is a major scare card that will kill your action and thus kill your implied odds.

I don't mind taking a free card here especially when they could of hit this very hard & we can stack them a lot if we hit a diamond. Looks great.

I don't understand the flop check. If you get check-raised, just shove. You've still got decent FE against an unknown.

Actually, I'd probably just call a C/R after thinking about it. Still, I think you lose a lot by checking behind.

I think Darin bets almost always here and was just mixing it up, although since it's an unknown I like betting a bit more. If the board was a bit more friendly I would bet regardless.

Kyro, I hate calling a c/r in a SNG, this isn't cash, it's not going to be pretty on a lot of turns. We should def shove if we bet & get raised.

I really like this, and would play it the same. When the board is this connected (as opposed to other undercard w/ flush draw flops that are not) I think it is better to take the free card than to bet and get it in if you get raised. When that happens here you are almost always drawing to your flush outs only.

Fair enough. I've been shoving a lot lately and I thought maybe I was getting toooo shove happy.

Let's not get caught up in the over generalization that they have always hit this hard, that's just not true. I would bet/check like 70/30 vs an unknown.

Its probably still fine to do this, but if the flop was 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or something I would be leading pretty much every time. I think the more connected board will have hit your opponent hard more often (they shouldn't check pretty much any good hand here but they do) and taking the free card in OP's spot is much better.
