Default Tampa Greyhound Poker room full promotional announcements

Hey folks, as a dealer of the Tampa Greyhound track I have taken it upon myself to get the word out to all of you about all of the promotions that we are doing to attract as many players to our room as possible. Moderators: I understand that this is blatent spam but I am a regular on the forums and if you don't like this then I'm sorry and you can close it, but it has a lot of good useful information to any Florida B&M grinder.

First and foremost, I want to announce our $25,000 freeroll tournament that is going to be available to all of our Players Club members. When you arrive to the room, you can sign up for a Players Club card at the table near the cashier (to the right of it). If you log 50 hours of live play form July 1st until August 15th you will be eligible for this tournament. It will be held August 19th and it will guarantee the top 15 players to be paid with first place guaranteed a cool $10,000.

Several rooms have the ring games we're offering, but where we excel is our tournaments. Our rake is lower than our competitors and we give you the best bang for your buck. All tournaments are 20 minute blind levels unless stated otherwise and all tournaments are no limit texas hold'em for the time being. We expect to offer a variety of interesting non-hold'em tournaments in the future however we are waiting until we build an interest for those.

Sundays
-Noon $120 buyin T4000 starting stack
-6pm $60 second chance tournament T2000 starting stack

Mondays
-Noon $40 buyin with rebuyins in $20 increments. Starting stack will get you T1500 and each rebuy is T1000. Rebuy period lasts for one hour and at that time during the first break you can add-on for T1500 for a $20 amount.
-6pm $100 buyin with T3000 starting stack

Tuesday
-Noon same as Monday's $40 with $20 rebuys
-6pm $100 buyin gets you T2000 in starting chips, $50 rebuys (worth T1500 each) and a $50 (T2000) addon. ALSO $20 bounties in this tournament, every player you felt that does not rebuy will result in a $20 bounty on that player.

Wednesday
-Noon Same morning $40 rebuy
-6pm $100 freezeout T3000 starting stacks

Thursday
-Noon $65 T2500 starting stacks
-6pm $100 T3000 starting stacks

Friday
-Noon $100 T3000
-6pm $120 T4000

Saturday
-Noon $225 T5000 starting stacks 30 minute blind levels

Also our Bad Beat Progressive Jackpot is in full swing for all Texas Hold'em games. For non-Hold'em games there is a daily high hand payout. The way it works, Omaha and Stud will each have their own high hand payouts. If a player gets four of a kind tens or higher in either game will qualify. At the end of that day, all players that qualify will split everything in that high hand bonus. That includes all the jackpot drops in those games for that day. If nobody wins in a certain day, all of that money rolls over to the next day.

EXAMPLE Monday-Thursday, none of the stud players hit quad tens or higher. FRIDAY there is a king high straight flush and quad tens. Starting Saturday, either of those players can come back and pick up their bonus, both players will split 50/50 all of the jackpot drops in their stud games from Monday all the way until closing time Friday. If only one player hits it, then that player will scoop up the entire high hand bonus.

With all of that being said, I will gladly field all questions and I hope to see you guys out sometime soon

-Michael, the jolly young overweight dealer.

What is your goal? To offer the best structured tournaments in Florida? If so that is great but you need to provide specific information so players can decide if you offer better value. If you do the players will come.

You say you have lower rake(house cost) . What is it for each of your tournaments?

What is your blind structure. Posting starting chip information is fine but it means nothing if structure is withheld.

Look forward to the rest of your information and then we can tell you how you compare to other local cardrooms

LORD- Besides the freerolls, does the players card account for anything else such as comps and other things.

Also, if your not on a timed rake now, what is the rake?

THANKS,

The rake differs from multi to multi. One of the biggest things we offer is that we rake 0% of rebuy money. Our competitors rake 25% at the hard rock and I've heard of even worse in some situations. We treat it just like an online tournament where the only rake you'll pay in a rebuy is right when you buyin. Honestly I do not have the exact rake percentages with me but I will go to my boss and get this information for you guys because I know you are all very interested in it. I believe the $120 multi is 105+15, the $60 is 50+10, the $40r is 30+10, $100 is 85+15, and the 225 is 200+25... this is my estimation and might be a little off but I will get this information to you guys as soon as I can.

Our sit and go tournament director posted a listing of all of our sit and gos and the rake and everything somewhere on this site, I'll find it after this post and repost it here.

The cash games we offer are $1/2nl with a $60 buyin, $2/$3nl with a $100 buyin, $2/2 limit hold'em, $3/$5 limit hold'em, $3/$5 limit omaha h/l, and $2-5 spread limit stud and stud8. We no longer have timed rake (as per the demands of the customers) and now all games are 10% max $5. We also do not round up like the hard rock does.

SNG's will be offered with the following details:

SNG 1 $65 BUYIN= $250 1ST, $150 2ND, $100 3RD. 10 PLAYERS,
1500 CHIPS, 10 MINUTE BLINDS....THIS IS OUR TURBO.
23% RAKE.

SNG 2 $115 BUYIN=$500 1ST, $300 2ND, $200 3RD. 10 PLAYERS
2000 CHIPS, 15 MINUTE BLINDS 13% RAKE

SNG 3 $220 BUYIN= $1000 1ST,$600 2ND,$400 3RD. 10 PLAYERS
2500 CHIPS, 15 MINUTE BLINDS---9% RAKE- Grinders best
play IMHO...if Roll allows--- level of play plus
under 10% rake makes for good value

SNG 4 $325 BUYIN= $1500 1ST,$900 2ND,$600 3RD. 10 PLAYERS
2500 CHIPS, 15 MINUTE BLINDS---7.7% RAKE- another
nice play

SNG 5 $530 BUYIN= $2500 1ST,$1500 2ND,$1000 3RD. 10 PLAYERS
3000 CHIPS, 15 MINUTE BLINDS---5.66% RAKE- most bang for your buck

SO THE AVERAGE RAKE FOR THESE 5 SNG'S IS 11.67%. NO HIDDEN JACKPOT MONEY TAKEN FROM THE SNG'S AS PLAYERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR JACKPOTS IN SNG'S.

OUR SATURDAY EVENTS WILL BE AT 1:00 PM- we will have $65 sats for this toruney that award seats and cash to top 2 players. Here are the details:
$225 BUYIN, 5000 CHIPS AND 30 MINUTE BLINDS- 18 LEVELS-
LEVELS THE SAME AS ABOVE EXCEPT AN EXTRA LEVEL AT 150/300 25 ANTE. 11.11% RAKE- goal is to get first place into 5 figures .

Their is too much to type for the weekday stuff- but it will consist of rebuy tourneys, 1 being a bounty and a pm tourney in the $100 range with 15% rake. Once again, we will be ready to listen to our players and tweak things based on feedback. Please PM me with any specific questions. Complimentary soda, coffee and very reasonable drinks. Player of the month will be tracked for MTT players. Trophies and other awards go to POM and POY. We are working on players free buffet for dinner hours. Please reply with any and all suggestion as I will be on the site often and can relay the feedback directly to the cardroom manager. Please introduce yourselves when you visit the room. We want to know our customers and we want your constructive criticism that is thought out and helpful! It is vital to our success and your success as well. Thanks a lot-

At this very moment our player's club card only qualifies you for our $25,000 freeroll... however, that is going to change for sure. The laws in this state are very sticky when it comes to giving away free alcoholic beverages but we're trying to find a way. Also, we're working with our venue to open up a buffet that will be available to our players and will be free with certain criteria. This is not open yet but my managers are busting their asses to make it happen.

Timed rake is no longer here. 10% up to $5 is the only rake we're allowed to do with the way the laws are written. My manager discussed this with several of us as he is not allowed legally to lower that otherwise he would heavily consider it. However, the timed rake is no longer applied to the no limit games.
