I know that he plays when he hits the flop no matter if it's
top, middle, bottompair or no matter what his kicker might be

is he pushing me around, is he on a flushdraw has he got me beat...

i'm trying to play smallball and here trying to see a flop before comitting a lot of chips..

If your read is that he plays any pair on the flop, then on the turn your hand is well ahead of his range, you have 3K left and the pot is 3.5K, so taking any line which involves folding is awful.
