Default C bet question

I was watching entity's 8/16 video on deucescracked when the following hand came up. Button has exhibited some loose passive tendencies, SB seems aggro and overplays his hands

Preflop Hero is in the CO with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
2 folds, hero raises Button calls, SB calls, bb folds.

Flop T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB checks, hero checks.

I know that I always bet this flop, but this got me wondering if its a leak.

If it were only the small blind, I would c-bet the flop. If called and checked to on the turn, I would bet again. If it were only the button, I would c-bet the flop. If called, I would check the turn unimproved. My action in this situation would depend on my read. I'm sorry if that's a terribly vague answer. I'm sure someone a bit more knowledgeable can help.

Terrible flop to C-bet with your hand/position, 3-ways.

generally i c-bet tons of flops in this position. it's a combination of your two opponents, the way they're going to play this hand, and the board texture that makes a check good. I often do bet here when I'm not paying a ton of attn but I don't think it's good. also, I think it's close.

What he said. It's the combination of your hand being at the very bottom of your raising range, the fact that you are sandwiched between LP and LAG, the flop missed you completely and sucks for successfully bluffing because of the middle cards + FD/SD possibilities and that you have few or no outs if behind. Change as little as making the non-heart card a diamond, and I think you can bet.

pf depends on the button and the blinds. if I think the flop is going to be 3way a lot of the time I fold

I cbet most flops 3handed but I would c/f this one. we take it down approx never with this board texture. this hits a whole lot of cold calling hands and we get semibluffed off the best hand a lot when we're ahead

I'll raise this pre-flop most of the time, unless I'm against an uber-aggro button who 3-bets me every time I raise (and I've run into a couple of these).

On that flop in a 3-way pot, it's close between a bet and a check. If button usually folds to your c-bets, that would push it closer to a bet. If he always floats them, then I'd be more likely to check.

I'm interested to know if c-betting is actually good here cuz I've been checking here my whole life.

Basically my reasoning is that you have very little fold equity and your handvalue equity is awful:
