Default Worst turn card in the deck, give up?

Villain's AF is like .8

PokerStars 5/10 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 3 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (3.40 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, UTG folds.

Turn: (2.70 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 3.70 BB

Should I have bet/folded this turn, or is my play ok?

I think I raise PF here.

I think I need a better read on villain to make up my mind.

A 60/10/.8 is far different from a 30/3/.8 WRT this hand, you know?

I'm not sure if I do know. He checked in the BB, how do his PF stats really matter here?

His PF stats matter because they affect his AF - the more flops a guy sees, the more 'aggro' his AF is. A guy with a VPIP of 60 and an AF of 1 is betting/raising lighter than a VPIP 30 AF 1 guy. While it doesn't affect their PF range this hand, it makes a big difference as to whether this guy just might be betting an [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Ax, PP or even 7x. If he's 30/x/.8 guy, I feel very confident with B/F as he's not going to get tricksy. I'm not sure how I respond to a 60/x/.8 guy here, mainly because the pot is so damn small. I don't there's a whole lot of difference between B/F, C/C and C/f though.

Makes sense

Villain is 32/8/.8

Once I check the turn, I have to fold to his bet, right? (Unless villain is super-idiotic crazy bluffer, obv)

As played, ya. Tiny pot. RIO. If he bought it, good on him, next hand.

I think you need to bet fold this turn. I think check-folding the turn is bad, even if the guy has an aggression factor of 0.8. Basing this decision on a read like that seems bad to me. Even if this is over a significant sample, which you don't state, he could easily be aggressive enough to bet when you give up on the turn with just about anything. He might bet a picked up flush draw, and ace, who knows, maybe even a 7.

Also, you say nothing about his VPIP here. A 50/x/0.8 is not really that passive. Maybe this guy will religiously call except when you check to him, then bet. There are tons of these type of guys where a check fold would be bad. Also, a lot of guys will take stabs when you give up on a board like that.

I don't get this hand. A passive player called us on the flop, so what. We have top pair and the LPP could have lots of stuff here. I think a bet fold is by far the best line on the turn.

??? People call here with pocket pairs and a seven here all day. Also Brodaway straights and 9 10 etc. I think check folding is terrible.
