Default Make an easy to use program out of this information

There are six coins*, each valued 1 thru 6.

There are two players. Each player has six coins as well, valued from
1 thru 6.

When the game starts, a random coin pops up. Let's say it's a 3. Each
player must now bid on that coin with one of his coins. The highest
bidder wins the value of the coin up for bidding, as well as the
values of the coin he used to bid and the coin his opponent used to
bid. So, if player X bids 2 and player Y bids 4, player Y would
receive 9 points (3+2+4).

Once a player uses a coin, he can't use that coin again. That value is
gone.

Once a coin pops up for bidding, it is gone as well. Only the other
values remain (in this example, 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 are left).

If the players bid the same amount for a coin, it is a tie, and all
points carry over to the next coin pop-up. For example, the coin is a
3, and both players bid 2. There will now be 7 points carried
over. So, if the next coin is a 5, the players are now bidding on 12
total points. This continues until the tie is broken or until all six
coins have been used.

The winner is the first player to reach 32 points. Or, in the case of
the game ending on a tie, the player with the highest point total
wins. I won a game the other day, for example, 7 to 6.

Here are a couple of files, the format, all the probabilities to the winning the game...

i just need an easy to use program created for me, so i can just enter the numbers and get recommendations.
because searching through the large file "lags" my computer.

so would any be able to create a simple, easy to use program, where i can just enter the numbers that are being played, and get a recommendation for me.

here is the link to download the files.

I think you'd be much better off asking in the Software Forum, though you may have to provide an incentive.

You're basically asking if anyone has written a program to play Goldrush on Moola.com, right? I'm pretty sure the answer to that question is "yes, and it doesn't work very well".

I think I have an idea. Along with some questions.

Why would it be optimal to alter the rock you use in different situations? Wouldn't there always be an optimal rock to throw?

IM me on AIM at jeffbg123 if you want to discuss what I have in mind.

If there is an optimal rock to throw for you, then your opponent knows exactly which rock to throw and will pwn you every single time. There in lay the rub. If I know you're going to throw your X, I just throw my X+1, unless X=6, in which case I throw my 1. I win every time.

IMHO it is impossible to code this up intelligently without taking into account some heavy stats work regarding the probability distribution of the rocks thrown by your opponents. And that heavy stats work will go out the window after the first few levels of the game, and you'll have to redo it.

It doesn't take heavy stats work. Even basic approaches can produce decent exploiters. Moola is still a big waste of time though.

I guess what I meant by "heavy stats work" is "some idea of how people at the first few levels play". For example, the first rock out is a 5, what is the probability distribution for the rocks players throw in this situation? If you have that info, you can do pretty well I think.

The "heavy" part comes from the fact that the only way I can think of to generate these numbers is to play a ton of goldrush games on moola, after which you'll feel like you've been beat over the head with your monitor.
