Re: NL50 - QQ facing huge overbet on flop
I am folding this every time. Unless you have a specific read give the player the benefit of the doubt and fold.

Re: NL50 - QQ facing huge overbet on flop
You have position; use it to your advantage. He's basically turning his hand face-up on this flop. I guess a small slice of the time this is a whiffed AK but everything else has you crushed here.

Re: NL50 - QQ facing huge overbet on flop
If you're just calling preflop with QQ, it means you believe there's a chance villain has AA-KK. That hasn't changed on the flop, so you must fold here.

Re: NL50 - QQ facing huge overbet on flop
You should never be calling this flop. Most players aren't 3 betting light. So I fed the following range of hands into poker stove and it came back 57/42
KK+,QcQh,JcJh,JcJs,JhJs,AKs,AcQc,AhQh,AsQs,AcJc,Ah Jh,AsJs,AKo,AcQh,AcQs,AdQc,AdQh,AdQs,AhQc,AhQs,AsQ c,AsQh,AcJh,AcJs,AdJc,AdJh,AdJs,AhJc,AhJs,AsJc,AsJ h With this very generous range of hands pre-flop your a dog. With what I consider a more realistic range of hands assuming he will bluff push AK, your 50/50. KK+,QcQh,JcJh,JcJs,JhJs,AKs,AdQd,AKo,AJo What I actually expect your against, your a 37/63 dog. KK+,QcQh,JcJh,JcJs,JhJs,AdKd,AdQd,AJo |

Re: NL50 - QQ facing huge overbet on flop
In todays climate is this ever AK? I feel like I'm always shown AA or KK here yet I can't find a fold because it still screams AK.

Re: NL50 - QQ facing huge overbet on flop
If it is AKs of diamonds your stil -EV since it is 50/50. You just need to be patient and make a note of this players behavior to try and figure out what it means.

Re: NL50 - QQ facing huge overbet on flop
Thanks for taking the time to run those numbers knuckles. I hadn't gotten that far yet.
Although I have to disagree with you on the 3 betting. I feel as though everyone is re-raising light these days. |
