Villain is 58.82/22.35/1.21
Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $10/$20 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 folds, CO raises, Button calls, SB folds, Hero calls. Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6.5SB, 3 players) Hero checks, CO bets, Button calls, Hero calls. I think I really screwed up here. The raiser is to my direct right, should've only donked if there was another villain between us, instead of after the raiser lol Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4.75BB, 3 players) Hero bets, CO raises, Button folds, Hero 3-bets, CO caps, Hero calls. River: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (12.75BB, 2 players) Hero ??? Given turn action, is a check-raise much better on the river or do we think there's still more potential for more monies on river? Also, does the A on the river make any difference? |

Hope he has a set of Queens and go for the b/3b.
Sucks to try and c/r and he checks behind. |

1. You should have check-raised the turn... yes, you did screw up. And villian is on your left, not right.
2. Bet the river. The A is a scare card for "some" of his hands... he *may* check behind... bet given he plays 50+% of his hands preflop, he is prolly the kinda guy that can't read hands and jams with sets, etc. At least by betting you get 1 bet off him... and maybe 3, or 4 |

[/ QUOTE ] He couldnt believe his 2pair wasnt ahead but on river he will sometimes calm down and understand that he is behind. If he doesnt understand this, bet-3bet is best. And yes, turn should be a checkraise since u want button to call twice. If it was headsup I think donking turn is fine. I normally would have checkraised this flop, 1 overcard + flushdraw is fine enough and u prefer pot 2 be big if u hit, cause u want them to chase. |

no! I didn't think about it that way. Normally I just don't cr into more than 1person as I find the fold equity to be quite low. Thus I put what I really liked in bold and put OOOO IC. I just never looked at it that way.

I CR and hope a worse flush lets me cap
if he raises a non flush hand to ur lead or even a weak flush hes retarded, I dont think the A changes much QJ still vbs if it capped the turn most of the time, and a set straight or flush never ck behind. |
