Full Tilt Poker

I'm chipleader after just taking a big pot with jj the previous hand. Can/should I fold kk here for a reraise of half my stack? To me it looks like overpushing qq-ak. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Possible to fold KK here?
That's what it looks like to me too. Seems silly to do with AA, but, of course, I sometimes do that with AA because I wouldn't normally do that with AA. I think there is some sort of a 2+2 law about never folding KK pre-flop online...

Re: Possible to fold KK here?
Unless he has AA, you can get away with a call here. Most at this level would like to get a little more out of their good hands, although there are donks that will make this play.
However, if you're at a point where you are close to cashing, then you could let the t900 go and use your t26600 remaining stack for a better spot. You still have an M of 152. You don't have to risk half your stack for what essentially looks like a coinflip. Knowing where the tournament is at, along with where the money is at & your goal (cashing v. winning) would help in your decision. Without those, and knowing you're chip leader, I'd be inclined to fold and choose a better spot. |

Re: Possible to fold KK here?
31 players remain, top 18 get paid but really only top 4 or five are worth shooting for so I would say my goal is winning.

Re: Possible to fold KK here?
I call it, you have the 2nd best starting hand... Even if you loose, you still have a ~14k stack.

Thanks for the advice. He did in fact have aa but I wanted to post the hand to make sure my thought process in the hand was correct.

Re: Possible to fold KK here?
Never....fold....KK...unless they show you AA. Or live, if the guy literally [censored] himself at the table when someone raises in front of him.
