Reraise flop from 400 to about 2000. As played, when he reraises to 2000, push. You MUST use all of your worldly powers to get all of your chips in on this flop.

Yeah raise the flop bigger and get all of your chips in the middle, except leave 1 chip, for only fish put their entire tournament life on the line with no pair.

I play it like you 3/4 of the time and raise the flop the same ... or even AI. The other times against an agressive villian I flat call. There's merit for getting all your chips in with 15 outs twice ... I don't know why having no pair would make you a fish when you're the favorite, Adam must be confused today.

By the way... congrats on 3rd. It was a pleasure busting you though

Shove after he re-raises the flop.

Hmm, are you sure we've got 15 outs here? In this tourney you might be up against A8/A7, two pair, trips or even a flopped straight.

If he calls your all-in on the flop, he's likely got you well beat, and your A and Q aren't outs. You have a reasonable stack for this stage of the tourney, why put the whole lot at risk when you could be 2:1 underdog?

Depnding on how aggressive I was feeling I'd either flat call or raise a bit more than you did - say 2000ish. A semi-bluff is only worthwhile if you think there's a chance he is going to fold, and without a pair, this is definitely a semi-bluff not a value bet.

As played, I would have called the re-raise, also call on the turn, fold the river.

I'ts kind of a tough decision, if blinds were bigger or my stack was smaller I'd definitely agree with pushing the flop, but here I think you can afford to be more cautious...

It doesn't matter if we think/realize we don't have 15 outs...by the time we realize we don't have any FE on a push, the pot is so big that we have to push anyway and hope for the best.

I'm willing to risk chips that we have 15, at worse 12... and that he has pockets and not trips.

And I definately don't like a 2k bet... shove if you want to do that.

I think this highlights my point, when M is this high you should try and avoid getting into any situation where you have to "push and hope for the best" with nothing but a draw.

You know I was being sarcastic when I said only fish put their tournament life on the line w/ no pair, right?

Is this talking to me? Or someone else?
