I like preflop but that is NOT the flop you were looking for with that hand.

Flop is a c/f for me. You almost never have enough equity in this spot against two players in a raised pot to continue in the hand.

Your str8 draws are bad (except for the non heart 6) your two pair is usually no good when you're called. Even if I did c/b I would fold to the re-raise (yes even at 5-1) and call of the reraise given that you're almost always up against a set + higher str8 draws + flush draw.

Obv your two pair isn't going to win you the hand and that shoulda been obvious with all the action on the flop. So essentailly your playing an OESD that HOPEFULLY can hit the hearts (which it couldn't) and only the 6 will give you the nuts.

This looks like a much bigger hand than it is and is an easy fold on the flop.

Even without the action on the flop how comfortable are you with your two pair? Do you c/b here or just c/f?

is there any disadvantage to leading 1/2 pot rather than pot here? i cant see myself potting it and folding

All you are ahead of here is a bluff. Check calling is the only option.
3 ways this hand is shockingly bad. You can easily find yourself up against a set and a flush draw where your equity is no greater than 15%.

Actually I always c/b for less than full pot. The obvious disadvantage is that sometimes people get correct odds to draw on you when they would not with a pot sized bet.

This disadvantage is more than made up for by gaining deception regarding your holdings, being able to bet/fold after raising preflop, being called by weaker straight and flush draws when you are dominating and smaller sets/2pairs when you have top set.

It is important to make 1/2 pot raises standard if you're going to do it. If you only do it when you don't like your hand your opponents will pounce on you everytime.

i was 15% against the given hands actually. i feel like with such a large pot already though i should try to take it down... leading for 1/2 pot and folding given the action seems right to me in hindsight

I think check/calling is significantly worse than bet/folding. It is not outside of the realm of possiblities that a c/b will take this pot down. I just think that in general full pot c/b's are not optimal.
