Default BEAT: I Enjoyed Reading the Great Gatsby

Back in school we had to read the Great Gatsby and everyone was like omgz this book is so long and boring, worst book ever. But I was kinda like, hey this book ain't so bad. Then the last 150 or 200 or so pages or whatnot where it gets exciting I read for like 6 hours and enjoyed the book.

The next day during our "reading time" in class I was like I finished the book lolz and the teacher totaly thought I was lying and thought I just watched the movie. No one would believe anyone could enjoy reading The Great Gatsby on their own time .

Maybe I just went to school with retards who could not appreciate anything that read slower than On The Road or Catcher in the Rye.

Isn't the book like 200 pages long total?

Edit: dammit too late. But yeah no wonder your teacher thought you didn't read it if you were like "yeah, that sumbitch took 30 hrs, but I made its full 1000 page girth my bitch"

It's really short, that's for sure. I was kind of thrown when it was talked about as it if were long.
