Is it really that obvious? Surely we dont have any fold equity and we are behind every hand he has.

[/ QUOTE ] With this many outs I have no problem getting it in on the flop, especially as some of your outs (ten) are hard to get paid off on when you hit. Also, we aren't behind every hand that calls. It's fun when he has K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and we win with ace-high. |

Haven't read other replies.
I don't think folding here is a viable option. You have 2 overcards which may or may not be live and the nut flush draw. I think you either want to go ahead and push OR call with the intention of CRAI on the turn if any ace, jack, or heart hits. Since this decision is usually player dependent and you don't have any reads, I would lean towards calling. |

Re: NL100: AJs Flops big combo draw
Hey, I'm a bit of a noob, so this might be a dumb question...
But would it be a bad play to just call the raise and see if you get a heart on the next street before you get all your money in? Or is that the whole point, that he won't call you because now there are 3 hearts down? Or is it just that you think folding equity here is good enough that the villain will just fold anyway? |

[/ QUOTE ] If you think you have odds to call then calling isn't bad. It really is a matter of which will have a higher EV; pushing now with more equity, and a chance to get him to fold, or trying to get the villain to commit to losing his stack if you hit the nuts. |
