Re: Derby Lane (FL) Announces Their New Limits
I AM SO FREAKING SICK OF THESE AND OTHER ROOMS NOT PROVIDING THE REAL ACTUAL PAYBACK to the players(RAKE).
Anyone know what the rake is going to be for their ELITE tourneys with the 200+ buy-in and 30 minutes structures. Lets hope it is not even close to the 29% they have been charging in tourneys up to this time. TAMPA PLAYERS--Demand from your rooms rakes of no more than 11%..........as anything worse is horrible...........and 29% is highway robbery. -FH- |

Re: Derby Lane (FL) Announces Their New Limits
How come these games suck compared to what Hard Rock is getting?
Where is the 10/20, 20/40 LHE and big NL games at this place? Do any of you Florida guys know what kinds of limits they will have at Tampa Bay Downs and the Tampa Greyhound track? Thanks |

Re: Derby Lane (FL) Announces Their New Limits
Most of the places seem to be having the exact same games. I talked to Dennis at Derby Lane and he said if we can get a table going he is willing to spread any game that is legal. I asked about a 1-2-4-5 game or something of that sort. I wouldnt hold your breath when it comes to the games at Hard Rock. They may have them for a little while but I bet the state will put an end to it (but I could be wrong too)

Thanks [/ QUOTE ] All of the pari-mutuels will be allowed by law to spread the limits listed above. The law caps betting in limit games to $5 with 3 raises per round and 1/2NL up to $100 buy-in (this appears to be the way pari-mutuels expect the regulations to be written). The reason the Hard Rock and other Indian casinos can get around these limits is they are on Federal sovereign land. None of the pari-mutuels would dare to spread these higher limit games because it's clearly against the law for them to do so. A prior poster asked why the sheriff wouldn't just shut them down and the simple answer is they have no jurisdiction to do so. That would be up to the Federal Dept of the Interior. Any sheriff who knowingly invaded Indian land would be facing a slew of charges himself along with the end of his career. |

If that is the case they better expand because they are going to have a lot of people in there if that is the only place to play 10/20, 20/40 LHE and bigger NL games. |
