Default 411 on EPT Deauville

I've been thinking of perhaps going this year. Any scuttlebutt from anyone here about the setting, side games, or any other potentially useful information?

"411" is slang for "information," presumably stemming from the availability of directory assistance in response to dialing that number on most American phone systems.

In a country called "France." They have something called a "poker tournament" there soon. It's a "game," played with things called "cards."

Last year they had no cash games (forbidden), but somehow they have a license for tournaments, so the only side games were sit-and-go's. Also, the rake in the sit-and-go's was horrible (I think the casino (and not pokerstars) was fault for that). They did have more tournaments though for the people that bust out.

So, if you wanted to focus on the cash games...dont go (at least if its still the same as last year).

As was mentioned, last year there was no side action except of SNGs with big vig and completely crazy structure (winner take all, blinds go up in every few mintues or so, which in real life is basically super super turbo, and basically a luck fest. Could be fun though).

So all in all, pretty much no real poker, unless you're playing the big event or a big side event.

EPT Copenhagen has sidegames. Mostly spread limit HE and PLO I think. But the main event is filling up pretty fast.
