Default heads up SNG question - other player disconnected L1, solution?

so I am in a $10 heads up game now on Stars. On level 1, my opponent became disconnected and while Stars gives him 1 minute each hand, its been about 15 hands and it doesnt look like he is coming back.

should i just send him $10 when this is over? thats my gut reaction. thoughts?

also, he had 2200 chips to my 800 when this happened.

I don't think you have an obligation to compensate him for his inability to stay connected.

Here are some other options:

1. You steal his blinds while he's disconnected. The $10 you want to send him is your compensation for wasting your time doing this.

2. You sit out and leave the table. You both remain in a deadly embrace until the blinds are so large that one of you is forced all-in by the blind. You continue until the one all-in with the blind loses. You might win the $20, you might lose it. If he reconnects while you are doing this, however, he may well decide to steal your blinds and, ultimately, both the $10 you were going to send him and $10 you were going to keep.

I would definatly just steal the blinds while he's gone. He can't expect you to go out of your way for his connection problems, and I can almost guarantee you that he would do the same if you were disconnected.

I think you should do whatever you want to do.

If you don't steal his blinds as quickly as possible before he gets connected again, you're playing the wrong game.

Everyone else would do it to you.

Pstars doesn't let you steal "quickly," it's a long, painful process. Someone disconnected against me, and it took forever to finally take their money through blinds.

If you do this, you will be increasing the amount of honor and fair play in the world. It sounds as though this is already part of your nature. Don't let anyone convince you that it is a bad thing.

Don't expect it to be repaid, ever, in any form. He may appreciate it, he may think you're a sucker. But you'll feel like you're a decent person because you did it, and that actually does count for something, if you ask me...

This isn't much different if your connection dies in a STT & stars or the winner isn't going to send your money back.
