Default What does it mean to peel?

I have heard this term used on the board, but I never exactly understood what it meant. Example: "He does not peel much after the flop".

A peel simply means calling a single bet post-flop, most often on the flop and somewhat more rarely on the turn. Using the word "peel" often indicates that the pot odds are a little iffy for making the call. It's quite common to make a somewhat loose flop call/peel but then fold to another bet on the turn when the odds have clearly turned against you.
