Default AJs vs aggressive opponent, OOP (5/10)

from earlier, FTP 5/10

villain in this hand is loose/aggressive pre and postflop. he will 3-bet prettylight (55, KQo, A7o) and will keep barrelling postflop until he meets resistance.

On the flop I am pretty sure I have the best hand, and I don't want to take the betting lead away from him, but my hand is good enough that I'd like to put in a raise somewhere. I'm leaning toward c/r flop, lead, lead, but am open to other ideas:

I raise AhJh in MP, folds to button who 3-bets, blinds fold, I call.

flop (7.5 sb): As 7h 7c

There are almost no draws on the table. If he doesn't have a 7, you've got him pretty locked down. I'd b/c the flop and c/r the turn to get the maximum from him.

i would most likely checkraise the flop.

bet/calling the flop and checkraising the turn isn't bad either as he will often fire with a wide range of hands.

If you've given him reason to believe that you're capable of check/raising this flop without the ace, then I like that move. Otherwise, WA/WB against an opponent who'll probably fire the second & possibly third barrel with a pocket pair.

Cap preflop?

Usually I'll checkraise the turn (or just call turn but donk river against non-aggressives) but if this really will keep on firing maybe waiting until the river is best.

80% of players have no clue what a cheap showdown play is but even if this guy does the read on him is that he would have no desire to use it.

I'd usually just play it slow but going for a turn c/r seems to be the move against this guy

while b/c flop, c/r turn is interesting (for those who brought it up, villain taking a free showdown is not an issue; he bets the turn always if I take this line), I feel he folds the turn too often when he has air.

I think c/r flop, lead turn is best:
1) a flop c/r merits less respect than a turn c/r, and lets him think he can still take the pot away from me by firing on later streets. he has also seen me c/r bluff, so he knows I don't have to have a piece of this flop to make this move.

2) he may 3-bet my flop c/r, allowing me to cap; or he may call & raise my turn lead, allowing me to 3-bet then.

basically, I'm trying to sneak bets in while leaving villain with the impression he can still outgun me.

also, niediam, I didn't cap PF b/c I prefer to leave him the aggressor, and when I do cap, my range is somewhat narrower, making it more likely I'll get heavy action only when I'm beat (which, even when an A flops, I sometimes am.)
