Default Man robbed at gunpoint after being followed home from Ho-Chunk

Man robbed after leaving Ho-Chunk

That's a 30- to 45-minute drive from Ho-Chunk to Middleton. Be careful, folks.

we hear stories like this a few times a year, often coming from the LA clubs but its also happened in Vegas and AC. Good point to make, always be careful.

Wow, that robber must have been pissed when he realized how far away the guy lived. But seriously, I think this was discussed when there were some similar robberies in LA, but if you play for a lot of money at a casino it's always a good idea to keep an eye out for people following you after you leave. No need to be paranoid, but just be smart.

I play at foxwoods. They have a safety deposit box section there. I only play for medium stakes, but if I played higher (e.g. 75/150 limit) at FW I would definitely use this security feature.

I am sure these lock boxes are at most other casinos too. Also, the casino probably can take the cash and cut a secure cheque.

I asked about this at HoChunk when they offered 5/10 PL and I had a couple hauls. Unfortunately they don't offer a lock box. We're a pretty rural/touristy area here - probably doesn't happen very often, though I've worried about it.

The secure check thing is a good idea though.

Very dangerous to live in Wisconsin.

Precisely why Phil Hellmuth JR got out of there.

There's been a couple recent (last 4 months) reports about robberies from Potawatomi (Milwaukee). Same deal, people being followed home. I would think just being aware of your surroundings as you leave should help. If followed, just drive up to nearest police station or call 911. Problem solved.

Just because the "report" of an armed robbery in "Middleton" Wisconsin is in print, doesn't mean it really happened. I don't believe everything I read.
